I like it when it's mizzly and just a little drizzly so everything looks far away and make-believe and frizzly.

Second Grade News
We are at the end of the third quarter and beginning the fourth. We are learning multiplication and division in Math. We've learned the multiplication/division families of zero, one, twos, and threes. We are on list 30 in Spelling. In Language, we are learning about words that mean the same like 'write' and 'right' and what singular and plural mean. In History, we are learning about the American cowboy and how they herded the cattle to the cowtowns. In Science, we're learning about plants and how they grow from seeds. We will be planting flowers from seed and watching them grow. In Bible, we are learning the Lord's Prayer for our memory verse. We're also learning about the Israelites at Mt. Sinai when God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

Upcoming Events
The Second Graders are continuing to partner with Second Harvest,the Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties Food Bank. I'm wanting the students to have an experience of helping the homeless and needy. The SATs will be April 27th through May 1st. On May 15th, we will be going to the San Francisco Zoo. I will need several drivers/chaperones. Be looking for the sign-up sheet on the classroom door.
